Session III - Light: Friend or Foe?
Addressing the tremendous health hazard caused due to ultra violet radiations, the third online seminar for optometry professionals was conducted on Friday, 29 January 2016. The one hour seminar was facilitated by Ms. Ananthalakshmi - AGM-ECP Training & Development, Essilor India Pvt. Ltd.
The seminar was attended by optometry professionals from 7 organizations. Audience included practitioners, educators and post graduate students across the country. Ms Ananth spoke about the need to understand the risks of over exposing our eyes to sun, the visible and electromagnetic spectrum, eye conditions caused by the UV radiation and visible spectrum - primarily the blue turquoise light and much more.
