Senior Optometrist
The Senior Optometrist will play a pivotal role in managing and executing vision screening programs across schools and communities. This role involves leading Program Officers, organizing camps, obtaining necessary permissions from local government bodies, and coordinating with community leaders. The Senior Optometrist will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations during camps, preparing final project reports, and maintaining strong communication with both the field team and senior management. The candidate should have excellent communication and management skills, a strong ability to negotiate permissions, and the flexibility to travel extensively. This is a leadership role that requires hands-on involvement in planning, execution, and reporting for various eye care initiatives.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optometry with significant experience in program management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage Program Officers during vision screening camps and community outreach programs.
Obtain permissions from local government bodies, schools, and community leaders to conduct camps.
Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of eye screening camps.
Ensure high-quality eye care services are delivered during camps, including refractive error diagnosis and corrective measures.
Prepare and oversee the creation of final project reports and ensure accurate data management.
Work closely with Program Officers to ensure smooth coordination and reporting of activities.
Represent the organization in communications with external stakeholders, including community leaders and local authorities.
Report directly to managers and senior management, providing regular updates on project progress and outcomes.
