Program Officer, Fundraising

The Program Officer, Fundraising, will play a senior role in the fundraising team, leading field-based fundraising efforts and driving the organization’s financial growth. With experience in the fundraising sector, the candidate will be responsible for drafting compelling proposals, building relationships with donors, and securing donations through direct engagement. This role also involves preparing detailed reports, analyzing fundraising progress, and collaborating closely with the fundraising team. Strong communication skills, proposal writing expertise, and leadership in donor engagement are essential for success in this role. The candidate will report directly to the Fundraising Manager and GM, serving as a senior to the Associate Fundraising team members, guiding and supporting them in achieving collective goals.

Educational Qualification:

Graduate with fluency in English and Tamil. Proficiency in MS Office is required. Experience in proposal writing and reporting is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead field visits to engage with potential donors from corporate institutions, trusts, and public sectors.

  • Draft compelling proposals to secure donations and present the organization’s mission and impact.

  • Write detailed reports analyzing fundraising outcomes and progress.

  • Build and maintain relationships with donors to secure sustainable funding.

  • Collaborate with the Associate, Fundraising, and support the team in achieving fundraising targets.

  • Maintain and update donor records and manage the fundraising database.

  • Participate in all organizational activities and contribute to broader team-driven goals.
