Pediatric Contact Lens & Common Accommodative and Convergence Disorders

The sixteenth seminar in IVI Online Seminar Series was presented by Dr. Daniele P. Saltarelli (OD, FAAO)- Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center- Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Cincinnati Department of Ophthalmology  on Wednesday, 20 January 2016. The topic of discussion was “Pediatric Contact Lens & Common Accommodative and Convergence Disorders.”

Attended by over 400 optometry students from 12 schools across the country, the session explained some of the basic principles behind accommodative and convergence disorders, how contact lenses can be used to influence the status of these conditions in the pediatric population. The session also witnessed a brief discussion on the most relevant applications of contact lens use for infants and children.
