IVI Optometry Wizard of the Year - 2015
Mousumi Saikia from Amity University, Gurgaon was declared the ‘IVI Optometry Wizard of the year 2015’. Congratulations, Mousumi!
The announcement was made following the final round of the national quiz held at IVI Hyderabad on 5 December, 2015. Students and faculty from eight Optometry schools across India shared the excitement of the final round through online webcast on the IVI website.
The three finalists emerging following two previous rounds held over Facebook and phone respectively included: Rashmi Bhimanapati, Optometrist, Centre for Sight, Hyderabad; Mousumi Saikia, Faculty, Amity University, Gurgaon; and Suma Gunda, Optometrist, LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. The quiz was open to professionals and students in eye care across India.
The three winners were each presented with an IVI memento and a certificate along with prize money of Rs 10000, Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 respectively.
